“This look is very special to me; Chanel is the fashion house closest to my heart,” says Mariacarla Boscono. “This year it’s even more special because it was designed by my dear friend Matthieu Blazy and his incredible team. The dress is simply a work of art, and I truly feel like a princess—Matthieu’s princess.”
Boscono—a fixture at the Venice Film Festival —appeared for the premiere of Martin McDonagh’s Wild Horse Nine . “He’s incredible, and I’d definitely love to have dinner with him and the cast of his film, including John Malkovich, Steve Buscemi, and Tom Waits, who has a special appearance. I’m a huge fan of his music!” Boscono told Vogue before stepping out for the evening.
Styled by Ramona Tabita, Boscono chose a dress from the Chanel Resort 2027 collection , a look that first debuted on the runway in Biarritz and is steeped in historical references to haute couture.
The tweed dress features undulating layers of black-and-white newspaper print fabric, with a knotted structure that opens into a plunging neckline and back, culminating in a cascading, red carpet-skimming train. At the bustier, a majestic jacquard camellia—an enduring Chanel symbol—embellished with black and white feathers.
To complete the outfit, Boscono wore Damiani jewelry, including a necklace from the Gioia del Mare collection and a ring from the Mimosa collection.
The model’s glam was similarly striking: she wore her long raven hair loose in soft, natural-looking waves and minimalist makeup that focused on the radiance of her skin.
