To celebrate his journey and the enduring connection he has built with his fans, Jão returned to the stage for his first live performance in more than a year. With some help from Spotify, he shared the moment with the fans who have been part of his story from the start.
Now, the concert film Spotify e Jão: Cada lembrança nos trouxe até aqui (Every memory brought us here) is available exclusively on Spotify. Recorded in São Paulo in front of an intimate audience of top fans, it brings the songs, visuals, and emotion of the night to listeners around the world.
“These songs have accompanied very different moments in my life and, over time, they’ve become part of many other people’s lives, too. Revisiting them in this format, surrounded by fans who have their own stories connected to each song, gave the performance a completely new meaning. Now, being able to share this recording with everyone on Spotify is a way for us to keep building this memory together,” Jão said about the performance.
The setlist moves through Jão’s albums—including LOBOS , ANTI-HERÓI , PIRATA , SUPER , and Memórias Póstumas — each with its own themes, and devoted following. In that vein, the event functioned as a celebration of the relationship between Jão and the community that has followed him through every era.
“Jão has built a career in which every album is far more than a collection of songs,” said Carolina Alzuguir , Head of Music, Spotify Brazil. “But one thread runs through all of them: the deep connection he has built with his fans.”
Jão’s audience in Brazil is dominated by young listeners, with more than 72% of his streams coming from fans ages 18 to 29. But Memórias Póstumas is bringing in a slate of new listeners. More than 66% of people in Brazil who listened to Jão for the first time in the past month discovered him through that album.
